Local Seed Business

ISSD supports farmers’ groups in the development of viable local seed businesses (LSBs) producing for a local market. LSBs provide farmers with access to quality seed of locally preferred varieties.

SEED SECTOR COORDINATION

ISSD facilitates collaboration in regional partnerships where stakeholders jointly experiment with innovative approaches towards resolving seed sector bottlenecks. ISSD strengthens seed sector governance.

PRIVATE SEED PRODUCERS

ISSD supports private seed producers in identifying new opportunities in the Ethiopian seed market, in establishing business links both locally and abroad and in in striving for excellence in seed production and marketing.
